‣ What is the Aquapel windshield treatment?

Aquapel is a product you can apply to any glass surface to repel water. The chemicals bond with the glass, causing rain and other liquids to bead and fall off. It is especially useful to improve your visibility when you’re driving, keep your shower doors water-mark free, and make other glass surfaces look cleaner for longer

This innovation was originally developed by PPG Industries for the aviation industry, but today the treatment is widely used on all types of vehicles to promote automotive safety. 

‣ How does Aquapel work?

The product forms a chemical bond with glass creating a hydrophobic layer that prevents water from adhering to the glass. It therefore prevents the accumulation of water on the exterior glass surface.

‣ How long does the Aquapel treatment last?

The treatment can last up to 6 months on the windshield under normal driving conditions and up to 18 months on the side windows of the car.Also when re-applying Aquapel® Glass Treatment it is not necessary to remove the previous layer.

‣ I don’t have a microfiber cloth, what else can I use?

You can use a high grade paper towel that is used to clean glass surfaces. 

‣ Can carwash affect the longevity of the product?

Aquapel will work for up to 6 months and won’t come off in the car wash and frequent use of wiper. Car washes and washing with ordinary glass cleaners do not affect the durability of Aquapel’s treatment.

‣ How long does it take to apply the Aquapel product to a vehicle?

The application takes 15 minutes and simple steps to follow. Each Aquapel kit comes with easy-to-understand instructions.

‣ Can Aquapel be used on other glass surfaces?

The product is mainly used to treat car windows to ensure safer driving in bad weather. At the same time, the product is also used to treat various other glass surfaces, such as shower glasses, windows, glass tables, walls or other surfaces.

‣ What is the difference between Aquapel and other similar windshield products?

Aquapel forms a chemical reaction and becomes part of the glass, unlike other products which simply form a temporary coating on the glass. Aquapel lasts 6 times longer.

Competing products are silicone-based glass treatments that only sit on the surface of the windshield or other products like RAIN *. They will work well for a short time, but since they are simply a coating on the glass, the use of windshield wipers reduces their effectiveness much quicker.
